Wow, that was incredibly rude. I mean REALLY rude--I guess some places on IRC (in that gg subbing group chat) aren't very kind to you when you're about to ask a question about why everyone in the whole chat is ignoring you.

XD I usually try not to waste my time on anyone who seems to be pretentious but apparently since after something that happened quite a few hours earlier (when I should have been asleep) seems to have temporarily affect my thinking. Because I don't usually complain about any insults that have been thrown at me, haha.

To be fair to that guy, someone PMing you out of the blue for no real reason can be seen as fairly rude and annoying on IRC. I remember back on the #ffonline days where we used to kickban people for stuff like that.

That's why whenever I join a new channel on IRC (not that I do often), I just lurk for a bit to get the feel of the place and then try to insert myself in a conversation I know stuff about. RI's really the exception as we're a small, generally welcoming community. Most IRC channels aren't.
